Multi-car Pennsylvania accident kills 2

A crash around 7:50 p.m. on Mar. 19 in Feasterville resulted in the death of a 64-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man from Fairless Hills. They had both been riding in the same vehicle. Police ordered a test on another vehicle's driver for a possible DUI charge.

Police stated that the crash also involved a third vehicle. There was no further information given regarding the details of the accident. However, the Bucks County District Attorney's office stated that crews possibly had to cut one of the drivers from their vehicle and transport them to a medical center for treatment. The conditions of the individuals involved in the accident were not known at the time of the report.

A news helicopter over the scene saw crews working near a significantly damaged sedan and a larger vehicle lying on its side nearby. Crews closed the road for hours while police continued to investigate whether alcohol played a role in the accident.

With any car accident that results in death, the decedents' relatives may be able to recover compensation for their loss. This compensation could cover funeral expenses, any related medical expenses and lost income. An attorney could advise a family on what types of compensation they may be entitled to receive and assist them with filing the claim or lawsuit to recover it from the at-fault driver or that driver's insurance carrier.

In cases with a large amount of damage, the damages may exceed the at-fault driver's insurance policy limit. In these cases, an attorney could help with negotiations and court representation to ensure that the family gets the compensation that they are entitled to receive.
