Man gets sentenced for deadly motorcycle crash

According to court documents, a Pennsylvania man was sentenced to serve between 179 days and 23 months for his role in causing a fatal motorcycle accident on June 28, 2014. The 26-year-old man was sentenced in a York County court on April 17.

Survivor in serious condition after deadly Pennsylvania crash

Pennsylvania State Police reported that the 59-year-old man who lost his wife and son in a head-on car accident on Interstate 81 remains in serious condition at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. He had been traveling in a vehicle with his family when it was hit by a car that shifted into oncoming traffic.

Pennsylvania man pleades guilty to fatal DUI crash

On Feb. 25, a drunk driver accused of killing an Indiana Township man in a 2013 head-on collision pleaded guilty to the crime as part of a plea deal. The 64-year-old Penn Hills man will be sentenced to between three and six years in prison before an Allegheny County Common Pleas judge on May 20.

Pennsylvania woman killed at red light by large rental truck

A Penske rental truck slammed into the back of a 49-year-old woman's car stopped at a red light on Route 65 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and killed her, said the city's police chief. Witnesses and the lack of skid marks suggest that the truck did not have its brakes applied at all. The crash pushed the woman's vehicle about 260 feet and smashed the trunk into the backseat.

Fatal Pennsylvania car accident leads to sentencing for homicide

A Mercersburg man who pleaded no contest to aggravated assault and homicide by vehicle faced sentencing on Dec. 17. The 20-year-old man driving a Ford Mustang killed one teenager and severely injured another in a 2013 car accident, and he received 18 months to 10 years in a state prison for the charges.
