Doylestown has been digging out after a massive winter storm blew through much of the Northeast earlier in the week, but it was on Pennsylvania's roads that some of the worst damage had been done. The Pennsylvania Turnpike appears to have gotten quite icy and snowy in the storm, which appears to have contributed to a 100-vehicle pileup. Though the weather conditions could certainly be blamed, it is also up to individual drivers to drive carefully and slowly in and following adverse weather conditions. Ultimately, an icy road can be traversed without incident if the motorist is driving for the conditions.

Sadly, one died after being taken to Mercy-Fitzgerald Hospital and the other was seriously injured and taken to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania. Fortunately, the third friend escaped from this fatal car accident unscathed.
